I bought this domain over the summer when I just couldn’t stop taking photos everywhere – while the sun was shining, the farmland was alive and green, the hot air balloons were in the sky, and life was just perfect. In the country.

I had just moved back to an area of farmland in PA after nearly 10 years in the city of brotherly love. Philly. An urban land of opportunity, diversity, and some of the best years I ever had. I had advanced my career. I met some of the most amazing people. I ate all the food. All of it. Lamb Massaman nachos to my doorstep? Yes please. We owned a house. I even had the city plant a tree in front of my house. We lost money on a house when we sold it for this dream. This sudden life-change was actually a year and a half-long process that I had hoped would have great rewards.
And it did. I was just so smitten with seeing blue skies, clouds, and nature.

Everything was just vibrant through the eyes of someone who lived in a mostly-concrete jungle. After our twins were born, I mostly saw the inside of a house. Maybe Whole Foods or Target once a week. Forget taking a car ride anywhere, because I had a car screamer. Forget a vacation. Too costly or impossible to achieve.

We’ve now been here 9 months. I’m still smitten even now that everything is grey and sad and cold and buried until spring. I want to document this life as a mom, local food & fun, and how breathing fresh air made me whole again.
